What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Akumal, Quintana Roo for the first time?

This is a great area for fishing, trust in the crew, they are very knowledgeable & focused to get hooked up. There were no issues at all, one of the smoothest operators we have fished with.

The sea was choppier than expected; might be good to request life vests if youre fishing with kids.

We caught 8 fish in 4 hours. On large mahi mahi, 5 good sized mahi mahi, a barracuda, and a small tuna.

Trolling is hit or miss, just like fishing anywhere but is awesome when you get a hit! Bottom fishing was non-stop action! Would recommend for people looking to catch volume!

Use this app. Find the smaller guys and catch great variety of fish. I put No to the question “ Was the trip what I expected” it was better than I thought with Pio’s tours.

Fun time. We didn’t go far off the coast. But saw a sail fish jump, missed a fish and caught a fish on a two hour trip. We were trolling on top of the water.
