We wanted to take our three kids, ages 8, 6 and 3, on a shorter-length fishing expedition at Folly. You never know what you’re going to get when it comes to 3 year old behavior when sequestered on a boat for hours, but luckily Captain Kevin was so engaging with the kids that it was remarkably easy. He was fun, humorous, and obviously knew very well what he was doing. It was an action packed day, as we brought in two sharks, a huge redfish, and a ton of little whiting. Capt. Kevin taught us about everything that we were catching, had nice fresh bait for us, and was so much fun to hang around with. We will definitely be booking again with him next year when we return to Folly. This guy knows his stuff and is very enjoyable. Don’t hesitate!

In celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary we decided to take a fishing trip while visiting the Charleston area.  Tropical Storm Ida changed our original plans so we reached out for a last minute change and were rewarded with a trip with Captain Kevin Blair,  Not only was he a knowledgeable fisherman, but he proved to be a comfortable guide to the area and knew where to find a few fish! He was very kind, attentive to the needs of a couple who has been around the block a few times, and seemed very much at home pointing out the natural habitat in the area, something we both appreciated. 

Captain Blair is a welcoming and gracious teacher. He is patient and encouraging as he leads you through this experience.  My husband is a more avid fisherman than I, so I tended to need a bit more help which Captain Kevin provided, allowing me to catch this lovely redfish pictured above along with several keepers.  We both had a great time and would not hesitate to come back again for future trips led by Kevin Blair.

Our 13 year old son wanted to experience fishing during our visit to Folly Beach. Having only done fresh water fishing on smaller lakes, this was a new experience.  Captain Kevin made us all feel comfortable, was great at teaching the process, and was great with our son. As my son said, “Captain Kevin was like part of the family,”  We
would highly recommend scheduling a fishing trip with Captain Kevin.

Kevin was great.  Quick ride to our location where we were super successful catching Shark, and Whiting.  We enjoyed spending the afternoon with Kevin, he was well equipped, accommodating, fun, and very nice.  We would 100% recommend Captain Kevin to anyone that wants to have a great, positive experience.  Thank you Captain!
