Got lucky with great weather between rainy days. Mike was very knowledgeable and good to talk with. Made a stop at a few different spots and had many pulled in but few of size. All in all it was a fun trip. Would recommend.

Captain Ron was the best.  This was our type of charter.  We like to have control of our fishing not just reeling in the catch. We fish regularly and love to be able to cast, for our fish. Caught so much fish we had to ship more than half of our catch home,in just a half day. I would highly recommend captain Ron. Great guy very helpful. A true professional.

On our last day of fishing we did a half day trip with Captain Ron and had a fantastic time. We told him we didn’t want to spend all the time on a long run in the boat, and weren’t very interested in trout but wanted to wanted to catch #s. He politely explained that we we really could have our cake and eat it too and suggested an alternative that turned out great.

We went out to a wreck site, which was still a long run but kept us out of trout.
Once there, we chummed the water and fished a couple of kinds of rigs (on the bottom and then jigs) and caught a wide variety of fish. No huge monsters of the deep, but we caught a lot of fish and some good size ones that gave a nice fight. This included mackerel, lots of snappers, lady fish, etc. It was fun even though a squall line came through and put some wind/rain on us and was exactly what we wanted even if we didn’t know to suggest that option. After a bit he asked we wanted to throw lines for barracuda/shark but that we might not catch much of anything else.  We agreed since we were getting close to wrapping up and we ended up catching 2 large barracuda and one good sized lemon shark. It was a ton of fun catching and we enjoyed talking to him about fishing and the area while we were waiting with the lines out. We would definitely go out with Captain Ron again!!! It was a great trip.

Phenomenal time,  Captain Ron was fun.  We caught fish from the time we dropped our lines to the last cast. Definately highly recommended Pirate For Hire for anyone who loves the water.

Caught over fifty fish — lots of mangrove snapper and trout, a snook, a tarpon, a shark, and even a cubera snapper. Captain Ron was excellent company in addition to very knowledgeable. The boat and equipment were all in fine shape. We had a fantastic day and won’t hesitate to book with Pirate For Hire Charters again.
