Great trip. “Pirate For Hire” is an excellent charter service. Traveled from Islamorada towards Flamingo in Everglades NP. Made several stops during the trip and caught fish at each. Some tough conditions for catching with a new cold front having moved through leaving colder water. Also, less than ideal tidal movement making some potential fishing spots inaccessible due to low water. Despite the conditions, snook, jacks, and lots of speckled trout were caught. Earlier today, we completed a half-day charter with Captain Ron, Private for Hire charters. We fished the back bay with great success. We were out early and immediately (I mean Immediately as in first cast) got on snook which was my goal. The boat and equipment are top-notch. The local mileage and expertise of Captain Ron is second to none. Highly recommend if you are in Islamorada.

My wife and I had a great trip with Captain Ron. Nice boat with a super smooth ride. He got us in to fish almost immediately. Was attentive to tackle and bait, and gave good instructions. Caught several different species of fish, saw some really cool sites and had a very enjoyable time overall.  Will book with Captain Ron again. I would suggest at least a 3/4 day trip at a minimum.  1/2 day went by too quickly and with the 45 minute ride to first fishing ground, we lost some fishing time.

We booked 3/4 day with Captain Ron. He was prompt for pickup, greeted us with a smile and had the boat fully stocked with bait and bottled water. Our journey led us on an hour long boat ride to arrive at the first spot. As soon as we dropped lines in the water, fish began biting. It wasn’t long after we landed our first one. Having a 9 year old along for this adventure, catching fish to keep him entertained was pretty important. We moved to another spot and the same thing - Captain Ron knows... Еще

Captain Ron is everything that I was hoping for in a charter captain…and more.  My 2 boys 17 and 13 are avid fishermen and my daughter 10 is a complete novice.  Ron did an amazing job keeping my boys on the fish all day…all the while making sure that my little girl was in on the action.  We have done many charters over the years and this was at top.  If you want to catch fish with a true sportsman…this is your charter.  Thanks Ron, it was a pleasure.
