The last week has been the best Pensacola fishing of the year! More and more Reddish seem to show up each year for the annual spawn. This past week clients have got to experience thousands of Redfish feeding on the surface and knocking bait everywhere. December and January are some of the best months of the year to fish in this area. Cooler water temps have the fish concentrated and feeding heavy. This year's warm temperatures and high salinity from lack of rainfall have loads of bait fish sharing the bay with thousands of hungry Redfish. Inshore has been good with Speckled Trout on the grass flats, flounder and Redfish around the docks. Lots of Mackerel have been schooling along the beach as well. With school letting out soon we are looking forward to a busy season. Florida state waters Red Snapper season has been approved! Saturdays and Sundays in May starting May 7. On May 28 the season will open continuously through July 10. The Fall season will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in September and October as well as Labor Day. Book soon to ensure availability during this year's 78 day season!!!
