I booked with Shoal Outdoors a few weeks ago for a five hour off-shore fishing trip. Unfortunately, the Gulf weather turned sour and made it rough to get out to off-shore waters. Fortunately, Captain Chris made changes to our trip, keeping us in-shore, but my four boys enjoyed a great trip. We caught reds, trout, mangroves and a variety of other fish during our trip. Chris and Gavin made us comfortable and took care of our every need. We really enjoyed our time with them. I would recommend booking with Shoal Outdoors again.

Captain Chris is a heck of a guy. He was ready to go when we arrived, guided us to calmer waters on a very windy day…and put our littles on some monster reds! Biggest fish these 10 and 11 year olds have ever caught. Above all, as others mentioned, he is a class act - super helpful, professional, knowledgeable…and pointed out dolphins, stingrays and other sights as we moved spots - pretty awesome. He hustled to help everyone on board for the 3 hour kids friendly tour. A trip they will never forget! Thanks cap!

Our family of four had a great time with Chris and left with fish to take home. Chris was very attentive and answered all our questions from the booking to the end of our trip. He even called the day before to touch base and answer any questions. We caught bait fish and fished different areas. We had a great time!

We had a very enjoyable day on the water. Even with our un cooperating weather, wind and cool, we still got out and caught alot of fish, lots of small ones but still plenty big enough to take with us to eat while we are in the area. Capt. Chris and 1st mate for the day Jason were super friendly easy to work with, hang out with and very knowledgeable of the area waters and fish species. Would definitely recommend capt. Chris and fish with again in the future.

This was our first trip with Captain Chris & Shoal River Outdoors. We plan on repeating the experience. Chris recommended some flexibility with launch time due to wind, this worked out great for our party. Chris’ knowledge of the Emerald Coast waters is second to none. His boat was immaculate and his equipment top grade. He knows where the fish are and how to find them and what the are hitting. He is courteous and patient with his guests. The most impressive thing about Chris during this trip is that he genuinely wanted us to catch our limit. That should be the goal of all captains, right? That has not been our experience all the time. No so with Captain Chris. He went above and beyond to ensure that we went home with our limit. HE dedication to his profession is obvious and we highly recommend Captain Chris and Shoal River Outdoors.
