Took a 10 Hr Offshore Trip w/ my Father-in-Law, Son, and Son-in-Law.  Capt Jason and 1st Response Charters made this an extremely enjoyable trip.  Key Takeaways:
1) Capt Jason worked with us, where he could, to shift the schedule around a weather front.
2) The Captain himself is very personable and helpful, which makes for a good trip.
3) His boat and equipment is all top notch: well maintained, clean and in full working order.  The “Bean Bag” seats he brought got my S-I-L 40 miles offshore in one piece, despite his bad back.
4) He found live bait quickly and got us heading out to the fishing grounds quickly.
5) He talked with us to make it the type of trip we wanted and to go after the fish we were targeting.
6) He accommodated well the range of fishing experience in our group, from very experienced to newbie.
7) He had tons of fishing spots pre-marked, and was able to move us quickly to a new spot when the bite start drying up.  The Spot Lock Minn Kota did a great job holding us over the fishing grounds and made shifting easy and quick.  And he didn’t try to move us away from a good spot to “save it for another day.”
8) After the trip, he cleaned our fish well and took the trouble to make sure the fillets were individually sorted in labelled bags by species, so we could know what were eating later.

Overall, 5 Stars on all accounts.  Highly recommend.

We just got in from a 10 hour trip with Capt. Jason.  We were unsure of what the day would be like due to rough seas.  Because of excellent seamanship, the Capt. got us to the fishing grounds without us getting drenched!  Every spot we went to landed great catches.  When the bite dropped off or the fish were small he moved us to a new spot and we started back at catching.  We ended the day with our 20 keepers.  We’ve been on a lot of commercial charters and those captains don’t compare.  Capt. Jason’s love for fishing shows!  He goes out of his way to make sure his customers are comfortable and catching.  We loved our conversation and feel like we walked away with a friendship and not just a business transaction.  Thank you for ending our vacation on a high note!!!

Had a wonderful time with Captain Jason. He made sure to accommodate everyone on board. Captain Jason made sure to keep us on fish. Captain Jason is very well versed in equipment and knowledge of the fish in his area and he truly loves watching people catch fish.

Went out was going to do 8hr trip had to cut it short to 6hr one of us got sick (first time going deep sea fishing.) Jason was not able to take us due to plans but got us an excellent captain to take us got our limit on kings within 1 and half hours of fishing was exciting. Will 100% go back with Jason on the next trip and really easy to work with and great pricing and fishing experience.

What a day! Jason and his crew are top notch. We spent part of the day trolling for monsters and then slammed the bottom fish. If we weren’t catching keepers, we were moving to find them. Everything from start to finish was grade A! After 7 years of chartering with a different outfit, we decided to change things up and we will never go back. Can’t wait for Spring 2024. Thanks Jason!
