We done a 5 hour gulf trip an started the day catching our bait fish and we planned on catching our limit of red snapper so finally got our bait fish and went around testing out different areas (fishing) got some smaller ones so kept moving around till we got some nice keepers and the capt. was very helpful with making sure everything was ready and kept bait on the hook and also helped the wife reel and catch her fish! He done great and was an awesome captain. I would 100% recommend him to anyone I could have easily went for half a day with him as the captain and would have had a blast!

It was a fun time. The captain and the boat were great.

This whole Destin/Okaloosa Island trip was a reward for my son’s high school graduation and one thing he wanted to do was catch some fish he couldn’t catch in Nebraska. While we did technically did catch some fish that we don’t have in Nebraska, what we caught was very similar. He had fun but it wasn’t exactly what he was hoping for. It felt a little like something we could have done on our own. That is partly my fault because I cheaped out a got a short 2 hour trip. If I would have spent more for a 4 hour trip in the Gulf, it might have lived up to what he wanted.

Don’t get me wrong because the excursion was done well for what we paid for and for what the opportunities were (we wouldn’t have been able to even fish the Gulf because of the crazy waves).

If you want a quick fishing excursion, DO book through Scallywag just don’t expect to catch big fish.

Nick is very knowledgeable of his Florida fishery.  Predicts the bite very well and is prepared to keep the Rod bent.  Locates fish quickly.  Have enjoyed trips the last two vacations, and looking forward to many more with him!

Great trip with captain Nick!!  Knew where fish were and had great information about the waters around Destin.  Son and grandson caught dozens of fish. Gran Grandfather got a lot of good photo of the trip
