At the last minute I wanted to book a trip to take my kids fishing while I was down in Galveston.  I was able to book this trip with Captain Zach.  Both of my sons reeled in the first fish of the day which was 40ish lb black drum.  It rained a little bit.  The wind was blowing hard all day and it really wasn’t very good fishing weather but we still made it work!!  I ended up reeling in the 2nd fish and it was a MONSTER black drum that I could barely hold up with both hands!! Overall we had an amazing experience and the wind just made it interesting on the ride out there and back.  The kids loved it.  😄 🤣

This was our second trip we booked with keeping’ it reel and this trip didn’t disappoint! We wanted to go for the bigger fish this trip to celebrate my son’s 9th birthday and we got the big fish! It was a slower day but the ones we caught were worth it! No keepers for us this trip but in the words of my son that just means we need to book another trip! Our captain was liam this trip and he was amazing! Super attentive and helpful, he taught my son how to cut certain bait, explained what fish like what bait and the right wait to put the bait on the hooks and more! Thank you Captain Liam for making my sons day one to remember! We hope to book trip number 3 in the summer!!!

Captain Zack is a really great guide. My wife and I really were impressed with his kindness towards our 7 year old son. He made the whole experience important to him, as this was his first time deep sea fishing. Thank you Captain Zack. But we need water for the trip. Just saying. Doesn’t have to be cold, but available.

I think Zack was one hell of a captin at first i was skeptical not sure he looked so young. He did what we asked got us on some shark just as we hoped for. He was very quiet and maybe came off unfriendly at first (just his personality shy)then he got loose, started conversating, enjoying himself with us. He got us excited about the catch and we all enjoyed the fishing trip. Overall 9 out of 10 as captin. Zack was a great captain who deserves more credit. Would go out again with him will be booking another fishing trip soon and requesting Zack for sure. Thank you Zack!!!

Captain Colton and his deck hand Logan made this trip the best fishing trip we have ever had all the way around. They spent so much time working with our kids and showing them the ropes and really got hands on with them to make them excited about fishing. I could not ask for a better crew with the way they interacted with our kids to make the trip special for them. Thank y’all so much and keep doing what y’all do, y’all made such an impact on the boys experience. Thank y’all
