Crappie did not cooperate much so we tried some catfishing. The crappie that did bite were good ones and Jonathon ended up with his new personal best catfish, 11.5 pounds!

A little bit slower day for numbers but not for quality! Ended up with 15 keepers including one just shy of 2 pounds!

Great trip on Lewisville today with John Sr., John Jr. and Mike! It was John Sr’s birthday and the big crappie did not disappoint. All fish caught on brush from 12-16 ft. Had to move from pile to pile in the beginning picking up 2 or 3 on each one until we finally hit a couple of piles that were stacked. Bite was pretty light until around 2 pm when they started hammering the jig. Caught about half and half on minnows and jigs. Book your trip today!

Had Ben out for a morning trip on Monday. Since he was in from Wisconsin and had no way to transport his catch back home it was a catch and release trip. The day started out great considering the post frontal conditions and Ben brought in his personal best crappie. The wind shifted around 10 am and the bite got a little tougher but we managed 15-20 nice keepers and about as many throwbacks. It was about half and half on jigs and minnows but the jig bite is getting stronger and stronger.

Richard and his group came out for their annual get together for a little crappie fishing. Short 3 hour trip started out a little slow but we finally hit the magic pile right before time to go in. Ended up with 17 keeper crappie, a catfish, nice bass and a couple of whites. Best pile was in 13 feet and all fish caught on minnows
