The #1 goal when booking our trip was catching fish and Alejandro and his crew did not disappoint. With the odds stacked against us, (rainy season, storms to the left & right) Alejandro had us on fish within the first 30 minutes. First a mackerel, then bonita followed by a plethora of Mahi. Alejandro and his team put on a clinic on how to catch fish. During our trip we landed 20+ fish, catching nearly every species that Costa Rica had to offer. Are in CR for a special trip for my son who is graduating. Me and my three boys went out for a full day offshore. Our two main targets were Mahi and Sailfish. My son who was graduating has always wanted to catch a self fish. We got some beautiful Mahi, a bunch of Rainbow Runner (the most delicious fish I’ve ever eaten)  and to top it off, my son won an 18 minute fight with a a spirited Sailfish!

family fishing day in Costa Rica with a great captain and mate. fishing was a little slow, but captain and mate couldn’t have worked any harder to put us on the fish. We did catch more than the other boats. We did end up catching some Rainbow Runner and the biggest Red Snapper. overall a great day on the water, and will definitely be back to book with Alejandro.

My family had a very nice tine today with Captain Alejandro and Jopo.  Out target species did not cooperate but they worked hard to find them.  (2 sailfish nibbled thr bait but none took it.)  Conversation was easy, fun and informative.  Just ehat you hope for.  As the day grew late, we made a new plan and fished thr bottom.  we caught 4 grouper and a couple tile fish.  Capt then asked if we wanted to continue catching grouper or give a little more effort on sailfish.  Great captain, great...
