The Gem charter team was supportive in scheduling a tour that fit a busy schedule. They recommended a late afternoon charter instead of the usual early morning trip and ensured pickup, fishing, and drop off were all on schedule. The experience was flawless, and I enjoyed the benefits of their expertise. Miguel was awesome and super fun. We rocked some great music and caught some big fish.

The captain and crew were both friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring our safety and enjoyment as we saw dolphins, caught fish, and took in stunning views. They even made a delicious ceviche using some of our caught fish. We highly recommend Gem Charters for a memorable and enjoyable day out on the water.

Thank you! I live here in Panama so I’m always here. I will not give a review on Tripadvisor as it would not be a favorable one and here’s why. We spent almost two hours trolling in the shipping lanes without a single catch. We asked the captain often if we could relocate to increase our chances. We were told “another 20 minutes and we will move” several times. Around the 2 hour 20 mark of the trip, he relocated up where eventually caught 2 fish. I personally would’ve preferred to drop line and bottom fish to give all 8 of us a better experience, but I was told they will ONLY troll. This left us all feeling we just paid $650 for a 4 hour boat ride. No Bueno!!!

Our full day with Miguel and Pedro was amazing, beyond our expectations for our first deep sea fishing trip. We jokingly say we can never go deep sea fishing again because it could never be as special! We saw countless whales, dolphins, sting rays, turtles and even a big tiger shark. Before 9am, we had caught two giant trevally, one spanish makerel and two blackfin tunas. Miguel and Pedro were so knowledgable and competent, we learned a lot throughout the day. They made us feel safe at all time and were super chill to hangout with. Since fishing was so successful in the morning, they drove us around different beaches before we head back at sea so finish the day with some more finishing. The awesome reviews are what made us book this trip and we now really recommend booking a trip with them - it was worth every penny. Plus, they made us the best ceviche we ever had.
