I’ve had the opportunity to go on TradeWinds a few times when I was living local.
While I’m not the most ‘outdoorsy’ individual, I have always enjoyed being out on the boat and even the fishing! It’s a great way to experience fishing especially if you’re new to the sport. All you have to do is show up.
Justin is very personable and passionate about what he does. The captain and crew do their best to make sure everyone has a good experience. My trips are definitely the highlight of my time back home and I’m looking forward to when I get the chance to go again.

This was a first time experience for myself and my entire group that joined. (9 in total) Hands down the best experience! Jake was super helpful and thought us all how to do everything. He was super patient, and quite comical and helped make the trip really fun. He answered all of our questions and even helped me reel in a fish that I was struggling with. All in all it was an awesome time. And we definitely will be going back for sure in a couple of months. I would highly recommend chartering on TradeWinds and the crew. It was the best experience.

Also, they gave us all an extra hour for free due to the veterans we had in our group which really was an awesome thing to do. We really appreciated that.

We had the BEST experience with Capt Larry, AJ & Jake (from Statefarm) onboard Tradewinds. Communication was 100%! We got a call the morning of our trip letting us know the swells were beating up the morning trip participants and were give the opportunity to cancel/reschedule pending the weather. The crew even offered to take us out just to see how we tolerated the seas at no cost. The boat was plenty large enough for our party of 14 which ranged from 10 to 75 years old and had two vision impaired individuals. Our deckhands AJ and Jake were awesome and always made sure we had baited hooks and tended to every fish we caught, and we caught a ton!! Next time we’re in Destin, we will definitely be going back on the Tradewinds.

Capt and AJ started with going over the trip with us before we got started. AJ hands down was the best 1st Mate we have ever had!!! He was awesome. The reason I know he really cared to get us the best catch he could as when he saw the Cobia following our fish up he did everything he could to get it on the hook. We will be booking these two again!!! Cannot say enough how much fun we had. If they don’t always get five stars then you might need to look at yourself.
