We started out with catching a little bit more bait fish and the kids loved that. It allowed them time to get comfortable with the first mate.  The good thing was that we didn’t spend a lot of time on bait we caught around 20 more and then the Captain asked if we were okay with the sea conditions and then we headed out. The boat was nice and clean. It handled the waves very well and you could tell that the boat had more than enough power to do anything that it needed. I felt that the Captain was very smart with how he managed the TIME as in how long we stayed on a particular spot. He kept a good close eye on the sonar and was able to keep us on the fish. The first mate did a very good job. He kept the hooks baited and extra poles ready in case of a broken line. (No down time). He also did a good job helping my young kids with everything. Not only would he hold the rod so they could real it in but he also put age appropriate bait on their rigs.

I would definitely recommend Captain Justin and First Mate Daniel for any occasion whether it is a guy’s trip or a family. For me this was a family trip of 5. My wife, oldest daughter 10, daughter 6, daughter 6 and myself.

We got lots of fish and even a fee sharks!

The boat was a perfect size and well maintained.

I get severe seasickness and with my medication (zofran) I didn’t experienced any of it.  The boat was very stable. 

We wish we could have caught different fish after a few times hooking the same species but it was going to be a challenge since many of the “Bigger Fish” since they were not quite in season yet. 

All in all.  We would definitely fish The Phoenix with Captain Justin and First Mate Danny

We try to go out on a trip once a year here out of Destin. We have had some good experiences, and some not some good experiences, but today was by far our favorite trip we have been on. The Captain absolutely cared about putting g us on as many fish as he possibly could, and he listened to what we wanted to do to make it the best experience possible. The deckhand was knowledgeable, worked his bitt off, and was just a cool dude on top of all that. In my opinion The Phenox is the best boat in the fleet.

Captain Justin and Danny could not have been more professional & Skilled . That put us right on the fish we limited out on some really big red snappers then went to another spot a slammed a bunch of strong big amber Jack’s those where not in season but a blast to catch . We would highly recommend the Phoenix Thanks Justin and Danny!!!
