First off, lady sportsman here and went solo!! I’d like to encourage and recommend any ladies looking to learn!! No pressure and no expectations of knowing a thing, don’t be scared to leave the husband and kids at home lol.
The trip started and ended with so much excitement! First 10 mins off shore this Mama hooked a Spanish Mackerel(sushi grade)None stop hook action when we went for Snook, 12 hits, able to bring 3 on deck!! The capt. was like a master chef when it came to re-rigging the line. Very fast and very knowledgeable. I learned so much about the sport and the native fish. It was my first salt water adventure and it surely won’t be my last! 5 stars ⭐️

Fun trip with family

Captain was phenomenal.  Baited our rods, fixed all tangles, and took us all over looking for a good spot.  Unfortunately we spent too much time looking as the fishing was unexpectedly horrendous… not the captains fault at all, it just wasn’t the experience I was looking for.  I booked a tour of the Myakka but upon recommendation that fishing was better up in the bay, we decided to do that.  Was looking for something more exciting than bottom fishing and wanted to avoid big bodies of water so came away from the trip regretful for changing it.  Captain really did a great job though and would book him again, just a different location.

red tide drove us from a leisurely cruise down the Myakka River to a run out to deep water in the gulf.  Capt Eryk explained our choices and gave us the forecast of swells in the gulf.  ran out ~13 miles, found a site where the fish were hitting and pulled in snapper, corgy, and small grouper (not able to keep the grouper).  ride back in was an adventure.  don’t know that I’d do it again in the 21’ boat with one 115 HP engine, but i’d ask for Capt Eryk every time.

Spent a great afternoon with Captain Chris and Eric.  They got us out fishing immediately and we hooked a grouper and flounder right away.  We even got a little shark.  These guys worked hard to get everyone catching fish and to make sure we had a great time!  Would definitely recommend them and use their service again.
