Your boat for the day is a 22’ Penn Craft bay boat, powered by a 200 HP Suzuki engine. The captain’s vessel comes with state-of-the-art navigational electronics, fishing gear, and safety equipment. You’ll have outriggers for trolling big game pelagics and a livewell to keep your bait fresh in between catches.

Against The Grain Charters is all about making sure you have a great experience on the water. Captain Charlie Rogers is a South Florida native, and he has been into fishing ever since he was a kid. His knowledge of the local waters and skill in many types of fishing techniques is what keeps his customers on the fish.

Capt. Mark and his First Mate will do their best to make sure you have a fun day of fishing. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Snapper, Sailfish, Wahoo, and King Mackerel, depending on the season and conditions of the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, big game fishing, and spinning.

Capt. Carlos began his love for fishing with his grandfather at the young age of 3 years old and continues to be passionate about fishing the waters of the Florida Keys. He offers trips to accommodate all types of anglers. There is no age limit or fishing experience required. Captain Carlos will make sure your day on the water is a memory of a lifetime.
