Captain Todd is one of the rare locals in the area and grew up fishing the same area you will be fishing. With over 50 years of fishing in these waters as a kid and through out his adult life you won’t find many people who know the area like he does.
These waters are known for Black Drum, Cobia, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Pompano, Redfish, Weakfish, Tarpon, Spotted Seatrout, and more. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned.
You’ll be casting lines from a 21’ Center console with space for 4 passengers. It comes with everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Todd will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license. Just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Todd’s Rods Fishing Charters welcomes kids aboard, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. It’s recommended to bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
