The two of us set out in the afternoon with modest expectations and were slightly amused when Captain Novel told us outright we were going for yellow fish tuna. In fairly calm conditions we set off straight out, enjoying the sun and the blue sea. After just one hour we encountered a huge school of dolphins, swimming close to the boat or performing spectacular jumps further away. There were hundreds of them. It was then that Captain Novel shouted : “atún, atún”,  and literally within minutes we had the first strike, a good 8 pounder yellowfin tuna. In quick succession, we caught six more, all within less than half an hour. It was tough work but highly enjoyable. —It is well known that schools of tuna often times follow dolphins, so sighting dolphins means plenty fo fishing activity! (The presumably feed at a greater depth that the dolphins do so catching the tuna can be done without risking the dolphins getting involved). —- The sight of the masses of highly acitive dolhins around the boat was a spectacle in its own right, and the catch just crowned it all.—Couldn’t have been better! Captain Novel and first mate Stuart were great, professional and good-humoured!

Clear instructions were given on price and meet-up location. Captain Novel was kind, attentive and had pineapple and drinks on ice for us.  We pulled in tuna 5 minutes after dropping lines, catching 8 Tunas total on our 4 hour trip. For ladies, there is a toilet on board if needed.

Booked an afternoon half day trip and had a great time. We started offshore targeting mahi but the fish were not biting. Captain Novel was able to put us onto a couple of nice black fin tuna though. I knew that the afternoon bite can be slow so was happy to at least land a couple. We saw a ton of dolphins, sea turtles, and a couple of flying fish. Definitely will book again, but won’t wait till the last minute so we can get out o. The early run.

Went on a half day AM fishing charter in March 2024. Communication with company was great. Captain Novel was very accommodating for our group. We all caught fish and my 85 year old father reeled in a 18kg Dorado. After a couple hours fishing we went snorkeling and saw dolphins and turtles. Would definitely go with this company again.

We wanted to catch fish we could eat so we targeted and caught two Mahi Mahi. We had a half day AM trip that went off as described in the posting. The crew was focused on getting us on and catching fish. The communications from FishingBooker before the trip were helpful and the captain’s pictures of our catch were available on the site before we got home.
