Book your next trip with Alondra III and find out what makes the fishing in Playa Del Carmen so unique. Captain Isaias is a professional and passionate fisherman who has won the most important fishing tournaments in Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, and Cancun.

These waters are known for Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, and more. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Fish caught during the trip is yours to keep, so long as they’re legal to harvest. The crew can even clean your catch for you. Have a cooler ready in the car!

You’ll be casting lines from a 26’ Saltwater fishing with room for 5 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. Capt. Isaias will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. When it comes to bait, he has a net to catch live sardines.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time!

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! We have child-sized life vests available. Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

The captain and his first mate made this experience a must! Both of them were so patient and even helped out with all the tiring work of jigging. We caught several bonito tuna while we were trolling to our first destination. While jigging we caught a large amberjack and another fish I forgot the name of but it was a nice size! Magical trip yesterday. First, Captain Isaias and Juan (Captain of his own boat) were earnestly focused on us having a great time. For our trip, that meant putting my boys (14 and 11) onto fish. Although, I’m pretty sure they would have accommodated any requests (offered us snorkeling). And put us onto fish they did! In a short trip we hauled 4 bonitos of moderate size, a 3 foot barracuda and a 25# Skipjack tuna. Had we caught nothing it still would have been a fine day. Еще

I hire a fishing charter every family vacation. This is one of the better ones out there, and the best I’ve found in Playa del Carmen. Isaias and Jose were great. They were willing teachers and made sure we were the ones fishing—not just reeling in a fish that the crew hooks like some of the other charters I’ve been on. Isaias knows the waters well. The wife and I booked and all day charter for September 11th with Captain Isaias and Daniel. The weather was perfect and the fish were biting. What more can a person ask for?
