Sou’Wester Sportfishing provides full-day guided Salmon and Halibut fishing trips for both the novice and the experienced angler alike.

Based in Port Renfrew, your guide has close to 20 years of experience fishing the waters off the coast of Vancouver Island, and will take you safely to the fishing grounds and back aboard his Grady White Gulfstream 232 vessel.

Peak fishing times for large Chinook or "King" Salmon are July and August, with the Coho or "Silver" Salmon fishery coming later at the end of August and into September. Opportunities for the much coveted Pacific Halibut are best from May through July but are still possible as late as August although more challenging to find.

At Sou’Wester Sportfishing, Captain Adrian only uses the best quality tackle including Islander Reels for Salmon, providing you with the ultimate big-game catching experience with the highest chance of success.

    Your package includes a full day of fishing, tackle, and bait. We will clean your catch at the end of the trip, additional processing such as vacuum sealing or smoking is available in Port Renfrew through a third-party provider at your cost. We do not include fishing licenses for any trip, these must be obtained by each guest prior to departure.

Capt. Adrian runs trips out of Port Renfrew aboard a 25' Grady White. These waters are known for Salmon and Halibut and he will show you how to catch them, whether you're trolling or jigging. With almost 20 years of experience, he has a trick or two up his sleeve, and the only way to learn is to join him out on the water!
