This was a great trip with Captain Dan - 6 sharks and a Goliath Grouper between 3 of us.  We’ve had some good days before with excellent skippers but Dan is a class apart - ‘different gravy’ as we say in the UK.  He’s incredibly knowledgeable and capable, constantly working to put you on fish and get the best experience.  He’s also though a really great engaging guy which makes the trip even more fun.  When playing my grouper, it got tangled in an old rope under the mangroves.  Dan stripped off, donned a face mask, put a knife between his teeth and dived in to cut the fish free.  Not something in the standard job description of a charter boat captain but all in a day’s work for Dan.  Thanks again Dan for a brilliant trip - we will be back!!

Holy crap, our fishing trip with Daniel in Key West was INSANE! This guy knows his stuff and guaranteed we’d catch fish - and boy, did we ever!

We’re talking stingrays, SHARKS, and giant grouper that fought like monsters.

Daniel took us to all the best spots and helped us land these beasts on the beach for some sick photos. The sharks were intense, but the grouper? TWICE as strong and put up a hell of a fight!

But the best part? Daniel is just a cool dude to hang with on the water. He made the whole trip a blast from start to finish.

When I say dream trip I mean it. I’ve been on numerous guided trips and have never had the pleasure of being on a great boat with a even better captain. From start to finish I felt like I was out with a family member or close friend. Captain Dan will allow you to participate in every process the trip requires to catch the fish of your dreams. We originally went out to target sharks and while we waited for the shark to hit we caught another 15 different species including mangro snapper,grunts,toad fish, trigger fish(personal best), grouper (20 pounds), permit, pompano and many more. You can have Captain Dan catch,cut,rig,cast,bait hooks and set the hook for you with 0 complaints or if your looking for a thrill he allows you to participate in every detail like I did. We were struck by 2 big hits within 30 minutes of setting chum. I fought what we thought would be a record fish to find out closer to the boat we were fighting a heavy heavy 400 pound sea turtle lol it was set free upon realizing what we had. The shark on the other line bit the line and escaped. However as we picked up to move spots and began drifting into our new anchor spot we were immediately greeted by a large black shadow in distance of the Sand bar. With excitement running through my veins we knew we were about to hit the mother load of sports fishing. Within minutes of chum setting in crystal clear water we were Swarmed with lemon sharks from 4-6ft. Captain Dan set out the baits on hooks and we were peeling drag within seconds. We literally watched the sharks approach the bait, open their mouths and lock in on the fresh cut mangro snapper caught 10 minutes before. 9 different sharks took the bait. I landed what at the time to me wasn’t known as the larger of the lemon shark breed at just over 7ft. Fighting it was epic watching it breach the surface with half of its body attempting to free itself from the destiny that was written for me was amazing. With shakey arms and a full heart I got the shark to the boat and measured, held the tail and admired the beauty and power these predators possess. During my fight my wife was fighting a 5 foot lemon shark as well. We couldn’t keep the hooks from being bit and add 3 on at once at one point in time. Needless to say my gratitude to captain Dan is tremendous. His knowledge,experience and passion for his job allowed me to live out a dream that I didn’t think would be possible. Our expectations were exceeded on every level. Well worth every penny spent! We are going out deep sea with captain Dan this week as well and look forward to it. Wouldn’t do this with any other captain in the keys. Thanks Dan

Just had the best fishing trip ever with Captain Dan. We had some contact before and had told him that we wanted to do some shark fishing and some reef fishing at the same trip. Captain Dan delivered exactly what we had wished for (and more!). Not only did all of us get to catch our ”own” shark, once we we got to the reef we also caught snapper, a grouper and yellow tail. All within a 6 hour trip. Dan was a pleasure to fish with, and we all learnt a lot from him. Always calm and collected. I can’t wait to come back to the Keys again and will definitely book my next trip with Captain Dan. The boat was excellent to fish from.

We tried for Goliaths but they just weren’t biting. We could see them but they were not hungry today. He then took us to his shark spot where I hooked into a bucket list bull shark. 8-10 feet long 250ish lbs. 35 minutes to bring it in….so much fun. My son also got a nice lemon shark. Captain Daniel tried his best today to get us on fish and he succeeded. I would recommend him in a minute. Thanks for the great memories.
