Ross Charters is a locally owned and operated family business providing sport fishing, whale watching, and island tours in Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Loreto is an excellent destination for year-round fishing. Try your hand at catching some of the numerous species that can be found in the crystal clear waters of the Sea of Cortez. You’ll have Captain Alberto Ross beside you to make sure you have a great time.

You’ll use a 28’ Robalo center console boat that can carry up to 7 guests. It’s powered by a twin 150 HP Mercury engine and is equipped with quality navigation technology. There is an onboard toilet at your disposal all the time during the trip. The boat’s equipped with an ice-box, snorkeling gear, outriggers, and downriggers. A first mate will be present to make sure you have the best experience possible.

When nearshore, you can chase Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, and Broomtail Grouper. You can also head out a little further to find Mahi Mahi and Yellowtail Amberjack. Trophy catches such as Blue Marlin can also be found in the Loreto Bay National Marine Park. The choice of fishing techniques you can use is also wide. You can bottom and deep sea fish, troll, fly fish, and even kite and spearfish. The children are welcome to the boat. The captain strives for a clean environment so there will be no smoking during the trip. You can keep the fish you catch if you wish. The crew will clean and bag it for you at no extra charge.

The captain will provide you with absolutely everything you’ll need for the trip. This includes all the fishing gear, food, drinks, and licenses. Regarding the first mate, there’s a customary tip of 20%.
