Captain Jake Nickol's Fishing Charters 

Captain Jake was thoroughly knowledgeable and experienced in every aspect of fishing. He knows the local fishing spots, the conditions and habits and details of how to actually catch the specific fish. He is a great teacher and tailors his approach to your current level of skill. I think he has the patience and teaching skill to engage novice children and the expertise and experience to give a seasoned fisherman a great day of local fishing. His boat is nice and well equipped and he provides all the tackle and bait. He communicated well about what we should bring and what to expect. He enjoys what he does and gave us a perfectly enjoyable day.

My 2 kids (9 and 12) and I had a phenomenal time out on the water with Captain Jake. We did the 4 hour in-shore fishing trip on a chilly day and it was still the experience of a lifetime! Not only did he get us on fish, he is an area native and therefore knowledgeable about all of the surrounding physical and political geography of the area. Not only did we catch a bunch of fish, we learned a lot, too! Last, and so importantly, he was AMAZING with my two kids! He is so kind and patient, and was EXACTLY the person I needed to help my children to develop their love for fishing! I would highly recommend Captain Jake to ANYONE!!! 10/10!

Great 1/2 day on the water with Jake! We booked a half day with Jake during December when fishing is supposedly slow. We spent the trip going to multiple spots consistently catching small croaker and other fish; however, for most of the trip we caught fish sporadically but nothing impressive. Jake was entertaining, great to talk to, and extremely knowledgeable about the area and marine life. He took us to different spots that he knew would have different fish. Towards the end of our trip he took us to a dock that he hoped would get us our big fish and my son caught a 26 1/4 inch redfish! We had a great time.

captain Jake is an amzing professional. Knowledgeable and attentive. it was a great time on the water. No pressure to return to dock. He was friendly and kept bait on the hooks. i would highly recommend a day on the water with his boat. Caught several fish and returned with dinner. Greatful for his skill and ability. He treated my family like his own. Already thing of a return trio next year. Almost hit the grand slam.

Weather was less than ideal. Heavy over cast skies, winds rocking up to 20 mph and early on the transition from low to high tide. However Captian Jake still had a good plan and got me and my family on fish. Snook werent cooperating but i was able to catch one of my target fish a nice Red. We look forward to returning and getting after more Specs, Reds and hopefully a Snook.
