Algonac has a fish with your name on it, so let Rockets Fishing Adventures help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Rick, bringing aboard years of angling experience.

Sturgeon, Musky, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch, and more are in the cards if you cast your line at the right time of year. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.  Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!

You’ll be dropping lines from a 21’ Sea Ray with space for 3 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, you may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Fishing in Lake Sturgeon is strictly catch-and-release.

Families who love fishing together will be glad that kids are welcome aboard! Child-sized life vests are available. It’s never a bad idea to bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

    A trip for the die-hard angler! Enjoy both morning and evening sturgeon fishing all packed into 1 epic day on the river. We will start in the morning departing at 6am and fish until 11. Arrive back at the dock around 11:30 to break for lunch and to refresh for the afternoon ahead. We will regroup back at the dock to depart at 4pm once again in search of more prehistoric beasts. We will fish until 11:00 pm and make our final arival at the dock around 11:30. This trip is limited to two passengers only.

As an avid fisherman all of my life, I realized in 2013 that this was my calling. I got to work logging official sea time to become eligible for an MMC. In 2017 I began working with other charters professionally, and in 2019 finally obtained my credentials. I have been specifically targeting Sturgeon for over a decade and have had great success!
