Conditions were much worse than originally forecasted, but the Captain handled the boat like an expert, and the first mate looked like a gold-medal Olympian getting all the equipment ready.  Their work and our patience paid off - big time.  I caught my personal best King Mackerel and Amberjack, despite the conditions.  As an added bonus, I found camaraderie with the crew, and enjoyed their sense of humor.  The mate took extra time to teach my son (an aspiring Captain) some good shortcuts for rigging.  All in all, a 5-star day in unexpected 2-star conditions.  Will definitely book this boat and crew again.  They absolutely worked their tails off to manage our safety, comfort, and fishing success.

We are from TN and being an avid lake and creek fisherman I wanted to experience big water fishing.

Holden and Rodger were amazing guides and immediately put us onto fish, there were multiple times that all 3 rods had fish on them and my wife and I had to run to either side of the boat and just keep reeling them in.

When we went to reel in to change fishing tactics we tripled up on red drum, having the lighter tackle on they did sadly get away but not before we had a great fight with them.

I would highly recommend this charter and specifically this crew to go out with on your next charter. If I could give them 100 stars instead of 5 I would. Thank y’all for great memories we will never forget!

Posting this a little late due to damaging my phone on vacation, but we did a half day fishing trip with my wife and our 9 year old daughter.. along with another couple on board as well.. From the time we stepped on board, the Captain, Carson and his mate Roger were great!  They made sure to make us feel welcome as well as showing attention to our daughter!  Once we started fishing, Carson made sure that my daughter was the first one to reel in a fish!!  We had bites the entire time fishing and caught enough fish that we stopped counting!  The Crew was right there to provide any assistance as soon as we needed it and if the fish weren’t biting, they were quick to move us to a better spot!  Later in the day, we moved to a spot to target Sharks which worked out perfect with everyone on board catching a couple sharks a piece!  To top it all off, Captain Carson “anointed” a special “Co-Captain” and let my daughter drive the boat!  On top of that, we aren’t talking about driving for just a minute, Carson was showing her how to use the instruments and let her drive for a solid 20 minutes!  We had a great time on board that day and would highly recommend it!  Only downfall was at the end when it came to paying the balance for the trip.. Fishingbooker mentioned taking Amex, but Fish Hook themselves prefer not to take it because of the fees!  So either bring cash or don’t use an Amex!  Other than that, trip was AMAZING!

The first mate and captain were great with our kids. They took time to explain things to them, educate them, let them help in hands on way, and help each of them to have a great time.  Great for kids from age 5 to 17.

Wanted to take my son, son in law, and 14 year old grandson on all of our first off shore fishing trip. Was not disappointed. The captain and crew were very friendly, helpful, and hard working. We all truly enjoyed our trip. All the guys said they want to do it again. They put us on more fish than we could catch(king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, sea bass,red snapper, and a couple others ). Including the ones we couldn’t keep, we must have reeled in 35 or 40 fish. Had more than enough that we kept.
