There’s a fish with your name on it in Stanwood and On Target Fishing will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Matt can tell you all about them.

Species like Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Brown Trout, Atlantic Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Walleye, Yellow Perch, Muskellunge (Musky), Chinook Salmon, Largemouth Bass, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the season. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light tackle. Capt. Matt also offers fly fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there’s bowfishing.

Any fish you catch are yours to take with you, so long as they meet regulations. Capt. Matt can even clean your catch for you. Now that’s dinner!

Kids are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

You’ll be casting lines from an 18’ Lowe jet boat with a capacity for 3 passengers. It has and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t forget to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
