Spend the day with Wazup ll Sportfishing and find out what fishing in Quepos is all about! With Captain Kelly at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

Species like Amberjack, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Jack Crevalle, Sailfish, Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Snook, Yellowtail Amberjack, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the time of year. You’ll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

You’re welcome to bring home any fish you catch, assuming regulations allow it. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home to eat. How’s that for fresh seafood?

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome!  And you can’t go wrong with snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!

Your boat for the day is a custom 26’ center console with a capacity for 4 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials no fishing boat can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available for nearshore fishing trips.

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 15–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

Before coming aboard, it is required to buy a local fishing license for each angler. We will guide you on the morning of the trip. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. It’s never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray) and sunglasses. Drinks and beer are included, free of charge. There will be food (on a full day) and some light snacks included on board.
