Spend the day with Floyd Family Outfitters and find out what the fishing in Crystal River is all about! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain James can tell you all about them.

These waters are known for Redfish, Snook, Speckled Trout, Pompano, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper, Ray, Bull Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Tiger Shark, and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. James can also take you Flounder gigging. For the more adventurous among you, there’s bowfishing.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

Your fishing machine for the day is a 19’ SeaArk flats boat with a capacity for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Capt. James has rods, reels, bows, and gigs ready for you, as well as lures and live bait.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

Don’t forget to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
