Book your next trip with Coast to Coast Sportfishing and find out what keeps anglers coming back to San Diego for more. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Ian knows them forwards and back.
There’s no guarantee when you’re fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail Amberjack, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Skipjack Tuna, Bonito, Calico Bass, Pacific Barracuda, White Seabass, Sand Bass, Halibut, and more if you come at the right time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Ian can also show you kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Young ones are welcome, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea – luckily, Capt. Ian will have some on board!
Capt. Ian runs a 23’ Parker pilothouse that holds up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures and live bait.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Coast to Coast Sportfishing is just a click away.
