There’s a fish with your name on it in San Diego and Bring It On Fishing Charters will help you catch it!
Depending on the season, you might hook into Bonefish, Mahi Mahi, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Yellowtail Amberjack, Rockfish, Mako Shark, Thresher Shark, Calico Bass, California Sheephead, Halibut, and who knows what else! On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Jason can also show you kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Young ones are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll be welcome aboard a 26’ Mako center console with space for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s never a bad idea to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
