A couple of fronts rolled through plus a full moon. We finally, or I should say Cptn Dominic found them in the afternoon. There were tons just floating around like they were sunning themselves but no takers. The sound of the (little) waves hitting the boat kept scaring them too.

Dominic is da bomb! He knows his stuff. Literally, we were into tarpon before we were even rigged. They were everywhere! I probably casted to…I’m gonna say….100 fish! They came in groups of 1 to 15. I had 1 on but didn’t hook it well then, ended up hooking one real good but broke off due to a tangled fly line. It was a huge one too. We saw it when the whole tarpon was flying out of the water just like in the videos!

It was my son and my first time to fish in the Keys, and I cannot thank Capitan Dominick enough for teaching us the ropes around fishing here.  We were fortunate to catch a couple of snook, a jack, and hook into some reds.  Great experience, and he was awesome at helping guide us on where to cast and how to work the bait in the water.  We will be back again for another trip with him.

We had a terrific time on a trip with Dominic! Caught a variety of species using a variety of techniques.  Really nice guy to chat with and put us on fish. High recommend.
