We had a wonderful day with Capt. Ronnie and Cross, despite just about everyone getting a little sea sick. It was calm but it must have been the rocking of the boat despite calm waters.
Captain Ronnie put us on the fish and we were all catching, but many of them were too small to keep. We caught plenty more than the picture shows, but that is all that we were able to keep.
We started with some Squid for bait and then they used filets of some of the smaller Black Seabass and Lizard fish we caught as bait. We even tried small baby Black Seabass as bait in hopes of drawing in larger fish.
We caught a variety of different fish, such as Black Seabass, Octopus, Bluefish, Seabrim, Porgi, Yellow Bass, and Lizard Fish. We saw some jelly fish which was interesting to see.
Both Captain Ronnie and Cross were very personable and did all they could to try to land us fish. Though our bounty was a little light (as seen in the picture), we had a good time. Sea sickness and all. My only recommendation is being extra layers in case. Especially going December and 60+ degrees on shore, it got much colder when we went out to fish. I am from MN, so I know cold. Good group of guys, but next time I will try in the warmer months. Thanks for the fun trip fellas!
