Great day out with Captain Bob. He’s very knowledgeable and personable. Captain Bob worked real hard to get us fish. We lost count of how many fish we caught! Our catches spanned a wide variety of species including two keeper pompano. Our party ranged from 65 to 6 years old and we all had a blast. I would book Captain Bob again and recommend him to all.

Captain Bob was very friendly, personable, and clearly knowledgeable about the area. He made an effort to keep the conversation going throughout the trip and was pleasant to spend time with on the water.

Unfortunately, the fishing experience itself was disappointing. During the allotted charter time, we caught very few fish, and much of the trip was spent discussing waterfront architecture, previous charter catches, and hearing repeatedly that “the fishing hasn’t been good lately.” While those topics may be interesting to some guests, I booked a fishing charter to fish, and I left feeling like more time was spent talking about fishing than actually catching fish.

The biggest issue was that the cost of the charter simply did not translate into the experience provided. For the price paid, I expected a more engaging and productive fishing trip rather than a sightseeing tour mixed with stories of past success. I understand that no captain can guarantee fish, but I do expect the focus of a fishing charter to be on giving customers the best possible opportunity to catch them.

If you’ve never held a fishing pole before and are looking for a relaxed boat ride with basic fishing instruction, this charter may be a good fit. However, if you’re an experienced angler or someone hoping for a more focused fishing experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Captain Bob is certainly kind and welcoming, but the overall trip did not meet my expectations for a professional fishing charter, especially given the cost.

It was a great day on the water. We caught several different kinds of fish. Captain Bob was awesome!
