Really enjoyed fishing and visiting with capt john.He was very knowledgeable, great captain. I would recommend fishing with him to everyone.

My wife, Mary, and I used Captain John’s Fin-Tastic Charters this past October and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fishing guide.  Captain John is a southern gentleman and has vast knowledge of the area having spent his entire life nearby.  Four years ago we discovered Grand Isle and have been coming back annually.  The first year we were not pleased with the guide we choose.  The next several years we pier fished.  This past year we decided to try a guide and found Captain John.  We fished out of Port Frouchon.  It was a fun filled day and we caught a lot of trout and my wife hauled in a nice bull red fish.  We will definitely use Captain John on our next visit.  Kevin McGrath

Capt. John and his Fin-tastic charters was definitely a day for the books! From the moment we set off for our day on the water, Capt. John blew me away with his Southern hospitality, personality, and his knowledge of the area and its wildlife. Throughout the day, we caught fish after fish and Capt. John knew exactly where to take us. We mentioned to him that were interested in speckled trout, he structured our trip on that. We caught fish after fish, seemed as soon as he could “rig a line” and we put it in the water, “specs” would shortly follow! Then I hooked a red fish! Capt. John coached me reeling that big “red” in and made it an experience I’ll never forget. The entire day was spent on the water with Capt. John and it won’t be the last! He made the day an amazing experience. You can tell he enjoys giving others a good time and being on the water. Will definitely be contacting Capt. John to plan our next Fin-tastic trip!

There is no better therapy than a day out on the water in beautiful South Louisiana.  My favorite catch of the day is the sunrise on the way out.  There is nothing better than just showing up stepping on the boat and taking off.  Captain John takes all the work out of fishing allowing us to just have a relaxing,  exhilarating, and fun day.  We have been on other charters before finding Captain John, and by far Captain John’s Charter trips are our favorites.  He is a good ole Cajun Guy.  His personality keeps us laughing.  He works hard to put us on the fish, and anticipates our needs.  The boat and equipment are very nice and well maintained.  I highly recommend you book your next charter with Captain John if you want to catch some fish, and Cajun humor, or just have a therapeutic day on the water.  Thanks Captain John for some of the best days of our lives.
