Could not have asked for a better trip! Kevin was awesome, he did everything we needed, but let us fish on our own! Great weather, awesome boat! Highly recommended!
We took 3 teenaged boys on a 4 hour trip. They didn’t catch anything, but it wasn’t for lack of Kevin trying, the fish just weren’t biting. The boys (and us) had a great time. They didn’t even care that they didn’t catch anything. We will definitely book another trip with Kevin the next time we are in town!
This is a guy that knows fishing. I have been fishing for 35 plus years, Kevin is a good guy that knows his stuff. This is not your typical “cattle boat” experience. Good bait, he excited about getting fish, and will identify if you need help (novice) or leave you alone for the more experienced guy. He will find the fish!
We had a great time! The methods Captain Kevin used were able to catch fish even when many other boats were struggling (based on radio chatter). We left at 7am, and we had 10 yellowtail and one tuna by lunch. We released a few other species after that. We even caught a small halibut! The afternoon died down a bit, but it was really hot, so that probably had something to do with it. I’d recommend this charter to anyone. Captain Kevin was a great captain and instructor.
Started off going to get bait, an hour later we just started getting poles in water. Captain drives an older boat which was very slow. Boat was maintained well and very accommodating. Captain was very nice, but just putted around the bay. We never caught an of the fish we targeted. Only caught sand bass. (4 keepers with five fishers) off season. But the captain should have gone out farther and worked his way back. Only went to the navy subs and made a lot of circles in same area catching pretty much nothing. 1300$ total and 4 sand bass.. was still a good day hanging with family. Just expected more. I’m used to fishing in NC and AK. He said if we went a mile out or so that it would drop off to 400ft..? Either way captain was pleasant, boat was nice, and slow. Feeling was he was saving money staying close to docks to save gas but I could be wrong. Will look for different boat maybe one that also has a deck hand. Had to buy a license also, I’m used to the charter providing. That cost 17.54$ Each (x5) and $20 to park.. very expensive trip out.

You are wrong. You booked a half day bay fishing trip and there’s a red tide outside. The drop off is about 3 miles out and the boat is a setup for bay fishing. We catch halibut all over the bay, and we target all species. Some days it’s bass.
