Great day on the water with friends. First deep sea fishing trip ever and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The only thing that could have made it better was to have caught some fish; however, when your fishing that’s never a guarantee. If your looking for a good time on the water with guys that know what they are doing this is your group.
Dear Mr. Lewis Thank you very much for the 5 star review. I will share them with our team. We hope to welcome you back with hopefully better luck. We are glad that you enjoyed your charter even if you didn’t hook the big one
We got skunked. Not 1 bite and tried to rectify with your company afterwards and they wouldn’t return any of my messages. That part made the trip even worse.
Wish we would have had a different overall experience. The capt and deckhand and we’re very nice.

We apologize for not meeting your expectations in catching a fish. The Crew always try their best to catch. Not sure what you mean to rectify. There are no guarantees of catching or refunds if there is no bite. I verified on the site and there are no other messages from you. The only messages was when you mentioned to catch mahi mahi which I responded back that mahi is in season during winter month and the information how to get to Marina and Captains number
Thank you very much for the great rating. I’ll let the Captain know .Hope to see you again on your next trip to PR
The boat was clean and nice. The equipment was mediocre for $1200+ per day. The rods were dated as well as the reels(not even line counting reels) cheap low end Shimano. No live bait. Only froze herring. Only 5 rods ran at a time. No depths other than top water were ran. A few of them were ran so close to the boat I was baffled. The drags were not set properly. which cost us a fish. We only caught 1 fish. We only had 2 hook ups. One lost to an inexperienced crew that dropped the ball having the equipment not dialed in. Not what I’d expect. They talked a much bigger game beforehand. I’ve ran charter boats with my father for years. We work way more for our customers that how these guys worked for us. I’d reccomend taking another boat. We caught 1 very nice Mahi. Just could’ve worked harder I felt like. Tight lines.

Good afternoon Robert, We are sorry that we did not meet with your expectations for your fishing charter. The Captain and crew take their job and comments received seriously and of course were very disappointed with yours. We would like to clarify some of your remarks. The rods and reels we utilize are high quality Shimano with T10 #30A 2 speed. Our rods are “Black Rods” and the lines are 30# “Sufix” HP. The rods and reels have only 3 years of use. The lines were changed in December 2018. The type of fishing done is deep-sea trolling for Dorado, Wahoo, Tuna and bill fish. The boat during trolling is kept between 6-7 knots. Standard for trolling while deep-sea fishing. We utilize artificial lures as well as fresh bait such as ballyhoo and mallot which are kept in the refrigerators with salt and ice to maintain. Herring, as you mentioned is not used for fishing in Puerto Rico. While trolling at the optimum knots, live bait as you mention would not apply. The use of 5 lines for fishing is completely normal for charter boats in Puerto Rico. We ran 2 lines 180’ from the boat, another one at 120’ from the boat and one at 80’ from the boat. The 5th line behind the teaser with the swimmer bait which is completely normal for the type of fishing we do in the Caribbean for this time of year. Congratulations on the nice Mahi Mahi you caught
