Great day on the water. Both Pierre & Paul were great. bagged two fish. Craig.
Capt Duncan and mate Pierre worked to make our fishing experience excellent but we caught one fish- black tune-4lbs. and 4-5 hits. We certainly would have liked to catch fish but they weren’t hitting, confirmed by other boats around the island. Boat was new and equipment was the latest. We Would recommend Sting Ray fishing.
Overall good trip, but there were a few key things that could have been better. There were no fighting chairs on the boat, we dragged jigs the whole time instead of changing it up to live or chum bait, and the cap was slightly chatty on text with his cell. Super friendly guys though and fishing gear was great.
Nice guys, but not prepared for a fishing trip. Started off with them going to a different marina to pick us up than the one that I had specified at booking. I tried to call the booking service to contact the captain for his whereabouts, but there was no answer (multiple calls). The captain finally texted me his location, and, in fairness, he added back the lost time to the end of the trip. There were not enough rods for everyone in the party, very little bait (dead), and no fish finder. We caught two small reef fish only. Fishing never comes with a guarantee, but I had to suggest to the captain that we utilize tackle that was hanging in the rocket launchers so that more people in the party could be fishing. The tackle was too light for the conditions and when I suggested it be rigged with a heavier weight, it was stowed instead. I’m sure that had we caught fish, I would feel differently, but I think they were more interested in flirting with my daughters than they were in catching fish. The captain told me that 90% of his business is diving and 10% from fishing. Not surprising.

hi from duncan, sorry it was not upto expectations fishing in cayman is hard compared to the usa as we don’t have the baitfish. In the summer we target mahi mahi in drifts and with the water being 5,000 ft deep we don’t take a fish finder as it has no use.i will have a word with the crew that their performance was not up to scratch and thank you for your feedback.on the morning trip they had mahi mahi and with kids on board they just went reef fishing as a way to get some excitement after a slow time trolling in the afternoon.
