Last weekend these guys from Chicago went to Stockholm for a Hockey tournament but they manage to find a time slot for a fishing trip. They turned out to be really good fishermen and had done a lot of bass fishing back home but never caught a northern pike so that was on top of there wish list. I picked them up with my boat within walking distance from the hotel in the city of Stockholm and after 30 minutes transport we arrived at one of my hot spots. The fishing was slow and we noticed some pikes nibbling on the lures and we saw some followers. We also clearly could see some bite marks on the soft plastic bate we used so I decided to downsize and now we managed to catch some pikes. They even managed to get a double catch seen on the picture so now they can make a tic in the box for northern pike on their species list. It was not the biggest pike seen here but a PB is always a PB and we could see on one of the pike,s bite marks from a substantially bigger pike so they know that also the big mama is swimming around in this area. I was again reminded that I have the best possible job to get to meet such great people during a normal working day!
