Weather has been a factor so far this spring for our northern friends. High winds and rough seas are making it a challenge to show them a stellar time. Well. Weve had to improvise on s coiple of trips and stop short and light tackle fish for spawning Sheepheads(fish!) that are now the target species for all of fhe i shore guides and any angler willing to walk out the rock jeddies. Well. The tide was falling at a high rate, and with the Jus Cuz around all the smaller guide boats, we opted to tarry elsewhere. After an hour or more we checked and the tide was about to change. We ran back out to said location and procedded to carch some very nice fish. And sore lip quite a few as well. Which is the norm for sheepshead fishing. Next thing we know, Kris, with a K, hooked up to a whopper of a fish. After a very skillful handling of the rod and real and some creative boat positioning, we were able to land the biggest fish of the Day! Bottom line. You never know?
