Took out nice family from New York on Friday for an afternoon of fishing. The seas were up to 12 feet that day and a North wind at 30-40 mph. Less than desirable for fishing. It was their son Ari's 9th birthday and he wanted to go fishing. He even bought himself a new rod and reel and tackle from his birthday money. I fished the inside of the inlet where he caught a nice sheephead on his new rod. Then I moved over to the blue heron bridge on the north side and anchored up. Everyone caught some lane snapper and grunts. Ari's 6 year old caught one and was so excited she started to dance for us. Mom and dad also caught some. It was so nice to hear from Ari, that it was the best day ever.!!! I was happy I decide to go , even in the worst conditions, we made a good day for the family. Thanks David, Marie, Ari and Madison.
