Chilly boat ride yesterday, but the Gulf is calm enough. It was a mid-day redfish tide, so we put no effort into searching for trout nearby, instead anchored near shore and set out a few rods. The redfish were fat and hungry. Caught four like this one, or bigger, the biggest 27.5 inches was 1/2 inch too long and was released. They put up a fight on 12-pound spin tackle. When the sun came out, we got rid of the jackets and had to put on sunscreen, not bad for February. We shot some video of several other redfish, check 'em out. Looks like warm weather for the next eight days, so the water temp, 64 degrees yesterday, should increase and increase the action out there.
