Epic Multi-Billfish Day – Marlin, Sailfi

On June 1, we headed south from Cabo San Lucas. Upon reaching approximately 8 miles offshore, we encountered an active school of sailfish feeding aggressively on our trolling lures and baits. The action quickly resulted in a successful catch-and-release sailfish. Continuing east, the bite remained strong. We had multiple hookups, including two mahi mahi and another sailfish. We successfully landed both mahi mahi, while the sailfish managed to escape. As we continued along the same track, we hooked two additional sailfish, but both threw the hooks during the fight. The action continued offshore when we hooked and landed a striped marlin, a trophy fish worthy of preservation. On the run back toward Cabo, approximately 3 miles off Cabeza de Ballena, the day reached another level when we encountered a group of marlin and experienced an incredible triple marlin hookup.
