Will Barnett from San Diego USA only had time for a short half day morning trip but his dream was to catch a 40-50 pound yellowtail kingfish. Bait was a little hard to catch but we manzged to secure about a dozen jack mackerel before hesding to a reef that holds some nice kingfish at times. Sure enough 1st bait in the water nails a nice little 15 pnd king that grts returned quickly back home. Next bait hooks a monster of a kingfish that steamrolls Will into the reef leaving us dussapointed but also excited. Next bait again hooks a large kingfish and as the fish comes into view a 400pnd bronze whaler shark comes out of the depths to engulf our kingfish before our eyes! Running low on baits and time we move to a spot 2 mins from the boat ramp and upon putting the bait in the water it immediately gets monstered by a yet unseen fish. Lucky we were still over a sandy bottom with no chance of getting reefed so after a battle of 15 mins the huge kingfish comes into view and what a monster it was! Making the decision to keep this one fish we hauled it aboard. The smile says it all! Well done Will!

Regular Aussie clients enjoyed an epic 2 days of insane kingfish fishing with dome great fish caught on livebaits and jigs. The weather was perfect and we even found some exciting new spots that held some very respectable fish. These guys always seem to time it just right! Until next time guys...

The warm water is coming and so are the kingfish! A quick half day trip on sunday provided some good action on soft plastic lures with some lovely snapper,trevally and some great scrapes with kingfish with some bust offs and this beautiful fish of 15kgs hitting the deck afterca 30 min battle. Kingfish numbers are building and we are expecting a cracker off a summer!

Big snapper on lures! Through this past month we have been doing great on Snapper targeting them on lures. Most anglers have opted for soft plastics but some have been caught on small metal jigs also. Some of these snapper have been close to 8kg making for some very happy anglers. Targeting the early mornings and late afternoons have paid dividends and we expect this run on the big fish to continue for awhile yet...

Wow! Is about all we can say about the fishing right now! Snapper fishing has been exceptional with the fish seeming to be pretty much everywhere at the moment. This day we got a burley trail going and straylined big messy baits down current and caught some lovely snapper to over 10 pounds.

The last couple of weeks have produced some outstanding fishing! Particularly snapper fishing has been red hot of late with big fat snapper hitting lures and smashing dead baits down a burley trail. Kingfish too have prevalent on some of the offshore rocks with some fish going over the magic 20kg mark.. Along with sighting killer whales on our journeys our trips have been full of surprises and this is expecting to carry on for some time yet!
