Fishing report for Brighton area Follow us on Facebook **hidden content** So sorry I've not done a post for a while as I've been super busy but hear is a catch report for you. So we had some fantastic wether over the bank holiday and the fishing was as good Going with what I thaught was a good idea at the time we decided to head out to the plaice grounds. And I have to say the plaice are definitely in. We started off with using the trusty 2 hook flowing trace made by zepco. these rigs are awesome well made rigs. Bait of choise was the trusty rag worm supplied by tools and tackle in Newhaven. Starting with a drift of around 1.1 knots we put the baits down and we were straight in to the fish the crew onboard had a bet going which I obviously joined in with. Average size of plaice were small around 33cm for a while I was in the leed with a 39cm plaice and the all of a sudden a monster of the deep poped it's head up . As the day went on the stamp of fish changed from a 35cm avrage to 48cm avrage. Finly found some ground with proper lumps on it . I decided to stay that extra bit longer for the guys and we ended up breaking the boat record With an astonishing 155 plaice in total with an average size of 48 cm and 10 fish over 50 cm the biggest of them being 65cm what a fish and what a day. Kestrel warrior fishing trips Fishing report updated 13th 14th 15th and 16th of April Well we have had a mixed bag this weekend Starting off with a crew from London who we're planning a half days fishing for the kids.we decided to keep it close to Newhaven for this one and I have to say that a week can make so much difference.going from an astonishing 145 plaice one week to none the next but that wasn't all. The crew handed me an onvalope full of old paper £20 notes which was a piss take. But I should of checked. Sunday saw a regular customer Eric and his bunch of Misfit's going out for an offshore trip with the winds a calm and all that . We changed the from wrecks to pecks. Heading out for some bass. And what a result I must say. I think we was only 1 hours into the 8 hour trip and we managed to fill our share of bass catching our 12 fish limit in just 4 shot drifts with that I got the guy's to up sticks and go to some wrecks inshore. I wasn't holding much hope on them and I was proven write with just 1 Pollock to show for it. Later that eavning I took a 2nd crew for a short 4 hour trip we're we caught a further 5 bass between 3of us and with that we headed home. Today's trip was pretty good to I have to say I took my son Paul from FORT ROAD CAFE my dad who is finally getting better. after almost loosing his life at the beginning of last year to COVID. and a new customer from Germany. Both Paul and Ivin caught there first ever bass. That they have waited years to do made my day. We ended up landing our 10 bass limit and then we headed for home . Now the weather has turned I will sit back and chill for a couple of days ? Captain ant ?

Fishing report for Monday **hidden content** Follow us on Facebook and Instagram So Monday saw a crew from all over the south getting together for a social fishing trip expectations we're high as they have never been out on the sea before. Choosing the fishy rob method for plaice we decided to mix it up by using isom worms on some and my little extension of that rig where we use a live worm . Fishing in the Newhaven area gave us a new spot to fish as we have been fishing in Brighton and Eastbourne. Producing a smaller stamp of fish . Now we know we're the bigger plaice are we will do some more trips hopefully braking the 6 lbs barrier Monday saw us fishing a 5.2 MTR tide high tide was at 3pm most of the fish came on the flooding tide a smaller stamp of fish on the ebb. Red hot fishing for Gemma and her crew aboard Duke IV today. We started the day with good size Mackerel, small Bass and a Scad but as tge tide picked up the Mackerel disappeared and the Smoothounds started feeding with a number of fish to 8lb. Plenty of fish for the bbq and a great fun mornings fishing, all on a 4hrs fishing trip. Look forward to seeing you all again soon ?

Plenty of fishing action off Ramsgate with Duke IV crews catching Smoothounds, Bass and Plenty of Mackerel. Martins family enjoyed their day with a good catch of all three species. Spark up the Bbq.

We have had some good fishing off Ramsgate with Smoothounds, Bass, Skate and Mackerel. Some days lots other days we have been working hard for the bite. Steve from Texas and Viktor originally from Hungary booked Duke IV through FishingBooker on 4hrs fishing trips. Plenty of time for catching good fish without the long runs as the best fishing is close to Ramsgate harbour. Come and join us soon for the best in fishing.
