According to the captain it depends on water temp that is always changing.

We were only out for a half day trip, but there were many other boats out there fishing so i assume fishing is typically pretty good.We only caught one fish, but we only a saw a few other fish caught by other boats

The waves are ruff in the morning so if you get motion sick take something before you go

Be prepared for a great experience along the beautiful Costa Rican coast line.
