What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Wyandotte, Michigan for the first time?

Make sure you dress for the weather. The river is wide and the wind will certainly be a factor for how cold it is going to be on the water. Nothing worse than getting into the fish and having a bad day because you are under dressed. You can always take some clothes off. I recommend that you go with someone that has experience with fishing the river for your first trip.

Get somebody that knows the Detroit river and Lake Erie like captain Nick does.

The season is winding down in may in wyandotte for walleye but we still landed some great catches most of them were over 20 inches. I would prefer april but covid 19 wasn't having it?.

Hire a guide if your new to the Detroit walleye fishery as the crowds can be heavy.
