I would highly recommend this trip for anglers fishing in LA for the first time. The crew is highly experienced and will guide you how to properly cast and reel in your catch. I have fished all over the western hemisphere and this was one of my favorite experiences.

If you are visiting/fishing from outside of the Los Angeles area, I would recommend getting a room the night before, as the traffic is very unpredictable and may cause you to miss your arrival time for fishing.

My experience with rogezac fishing was exceptional! I think we were on his new boat the leakleah, the lThe captain and his crew were so helpful and taught us everything as some us were fishing for the first time! they made the whole trip a pleasant and fun experience. He played the music we liked & He even fillet our fish and we had sashimi right there on the boat! I will definitely book another trip with Captain Roger

Summer might be the best time, since season is open for rockfish. And you can also target halibut, sheephead and bigger game fish. But even in winter (February) you can get lots of action fishing for sculpin, bass, and white fish.

Listen to the tips on how to tell it's an actual bite and not the bait fish moving.

Great for first timers, the Captain will guide and coach you through your catches. Have no fear, let the Captain do his thing

Don’t miss going out on this boat or you might catch yourself saying “I knew we should’ve gone out with Captain Roger”.

Layers of clothes. Process matters - keep an open mind. Bluefin is a little risky, but very satisfying.

Not a large variety of fish to catch, but we did catch fish just a lot of the same kind of species.

be prepared for weather changes, book early as the trips fill up fast, get ready for a great trip in a very good fishery.

Best recommendation I can give is go with a professional like TJ, this will make your trip a success

Check the weather before you go out and pick a time where the water is warmer, this will ensure you catch the types of fish you're looking for.

Book with Mystic Queen! Captain Harry and his first mate Daniel will not disappoint.
