What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Panama City, Florida for the first time?

We loved fishing off of the pier. It was great. We caught several even though we had no idea what they were.

Great water and plenty of fishing. Make sure what ever species you are targeting are open if you plan on keeping the fish

Expect anything. Remember the captain can not control if the fish are biting and are in the area at that time.

This was my first time so I had no idea what to expect. Be patient, at one time we had three fishing reels busy with fish, then they were moments of no catch.

I recommend getting out there with captain Jason. He knows the waters and fish and is an excellent guide...we had lots of fun.

Florida weather is great in March, our trip was the perfect day, water was calm and fish were biting!

Wade out about 25 yards and cast lures. Caught multiple Spanish Mackerel and Jack Crevalles.

The fishing wasn't the greatest here this time of year. But we still caught fish.

Can be tough for bigger fish because it’s late in season but that’s not a captain’s fault

Do your research, ship out early, listen to your captain and be open to learning something new.

Go out, catch you some red snapper and enjoy the flavor. It doesn’t get better.

We did the trolling trip, no live bait, stayed close to land, not a large amount of fish for us.

Prepare for occasional rain showers. We got lucky today as our trip was between rain storms.

Bring sunscreen, a bottle of water, a camera, and a strong arm to reel in the monsters

Captain says warmer water fishing is best. Wait until June or July and go out into the Gulf.

Some got very sea sick so consider sea sickness medicine! But the trip was great.

If you haven't ever been fishing offshore. Be prepared for big waves and bring some Dramamine.

It was an awesome experience, would highly recommend and will absolutely go again.

If cold and in early spring, stay in the bay, plenty of action close to shore and guaranteed fish.

If your going for fun it's great but if your a die-hard fisherman wait till season

Check and see when the seasons end for certain fish. We just missed red snapper.
