What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Destin, Florida for the first time?

If you want big game them make sure you take at least a half day trip! But if your looking for some fun catches and a great time on the water the 5 hour did just that. Read the reviews and what the trip is actually capable of and you wont be disappointed.

It was clear from beginning to end that My Chance Charters’ goal was to catch fish and help everyone have a wonderful time. Our 74 year old guest said it was by far best fishing he had ever done. They were very accommodating! When looking for a fishing charter, look no further than “My Chance Charter”!

We were first timers so left the trip to the expertise of our crew about where to go and what to fish for. It was a great trip and we caught a ton of fish! We wanted quantity over size and that’s what we got!

I'd recommend using King of Kings as he was great with myself and 5 high school seniors (4 of which had never done offshore fishing). They had a blast!

Recommend a boat with a cabin to chill in as the weather is cool. Fishing is great if your captain gets you to them and you are dressed for the weather.

Not as good of fishing in March as it is in June when snapper and other fish are open for catching but still fun to reel in a lot of fish! Mingo is a good eater as is Trigger.

Don’t be obsessed with the amount of time out fishing. Get an experience boat captain and go catch fish!

Little cool early but warmed up quick. Guide cleaned the Spanish macs and we took them to the boathouse oyster bar and they blackened them and made fish tacos was excellent.

It was a fun day of catching smaller fish. Cobia were not in. This is a great day on the water if you want to catch smaller reef fish.

We had a great overall experience. Just check what's in season if you have specific targets in mind.

Trust the captain, and enjoy the ride. We caught a great amount of fish, it just took a couple spots to find them (as with any fishing)

The fishing was great; however, the fish that can be legally kept is very restrictive in the first two weeks of June. We understand now that July or August would be better dates for catching and keeping red snapper, grouper, and amber jack. I do not recall such limit restrictions in previous years in early June.

Dress warm in the morning, bring a towel and take motion sickness meds the night before

The fishing trips obviously the scenery and the people food is great and a vast choice.

Check the weather. It was cooler than normal. Fish was just not biting very much

Try for warmer weather or in the Aug-sep timeframe according to our capt. Dec can be dicey with Temps and winds.

You're going to get wet, the waters are a but more choppy in December. Layer up and have a good time! Bring a cooler to bring your catch home.

The weather did not make it a very warm or comfy trip, but the fish were still biting! Dress in warm layers and you’ll be fine.

Don’t get an inshore charter during the winter. Instead, just go to Jettys or docks and cast for fish, save yourself $700 for the same experience.

Be prepared for cooler weather on the water and at speed on the boat…...layer your clothing. Sunglasses, hats a must! It sure beats sweltering in the summer heat though!!

It's been a little tough with the rip current advisory, but dispite the water being a little rough the charter was a success. ?

Dress warm for the morning ride out but be ready to peel off layers or change into shorts once it gets warm.

Definitely would recommend Captain Chad for first time anglers of any age. He has the patience and knowledge needed for that first time angler to motivate them to keep fishing in the future.

I fish here every October and we always seem to catch fish. Be prepared for high seas and be sure to take Dramamine to keep your stomach settled.

Go out to federal waters if you want to get bigger fish this time of year. Still fun to fish in state waters though, and you might get lucky!

The fish weren’t biting heavily today, but we were able to catch about 2 lbs of fish for dinner.

Try one of the party boats first round out. It's an inexpensive way to get a taste of the area and you have a ton of space to get out of the sun if needed.

The fishing is great when you have a captain who knows what he's doing. Had a great time. Will charter again the next time I'm in Destin

Verify what you are going to catch, I personally thought we would be catching bigger fish. Also fish booker made it nearly impossible to get in touch with the captain prior to our trip.
