Bring Cash!!!!!!! Go with bigger boats for comfort, take at least 8 hours trip, and ask the captain to fish got the more difficult bigger fish first save the last few hours to catch the easiest fish.

If you are an avid fisherman, tell the captain no trolling. If you troll, they put the bait on the rod. They do the casting. They fish. All you do is bring the fish in once hooked. So they have all the fun and pay them too. I want a fishing rod in my hand at all times. I don't want to sit on the boat and be bored watching them do everything. That is not my style of fishing. I cast, I caught the fish.

Smaller boat and small crew. However wonderful trip for 2-4 adults due to boat size. We caught a giant barracuda with really no problem so the gear, tackle etc was effective. Crew was very very nice and understand English great. Give them a shot!!!!

If you come for the fishing and plan to take your catch home, make sure that the hotel you book will allow/provide you to use their freezer space for your fish. You don't want to be hauling 2 or 3 day old fish anywhere unless it is frozen as soon as possible after being caught. Freezer space at hotels on the West Coast (Cabos) is standard but we have run into some difficulties here in Cancun. The resort owners need to step it up and accommodate anglers that want to keep their catch.

I 100% recommend it to all ages. They were very professional and helpful about what we should do with our catch. We ate ceviche and fish tacos from oylur barracuda catch at the onsite restaurant. My only advice is is specify what you want cooked. We had 32 tacos and 2 bowls of ceviche for 3 people. My family had a great time!!!!

Don't go out if water conditions were like ours if you are prone to seasickness. Two of the four in our party got seasick because of the water conditions.
The conditions were not the best, but the boat and crew were top-notch. We thoroughly enjoyed the fishing and the fish we caught made it worth it.

This is my first time fishing in Cancun and it was great. Lots of action and the weather was perfect.

The captain and crew for very forthright in letting us know that fishing had somewhat slowed. However, we ended up having a very fun and successful day! If you listen to your crew and trust them they will do all they can to put you on the fish you want. For us, it wasn't about the type of fish but more about trying to find something to mount on our wall at home. I struggled with going for a trophy vs. food, but ultimately we ended up catching only bonita and tuna so we certainly enjoyed the best of both worlds being able to mount 2 trophy-quality fish in our 9-fish catch!

I definitely recommend fishing with these guys because you fish, and they are very friendly and attentive.

If you are heading out with someone who is prone to sea sickness, make sure they take some Gravol or something similar to reduce sea sickness.

Wouldn’t suggest if you are known to get motion sickness. I was fine but it’s a hour ride back so it’s not the best if you don’t feel well

I was told point blank best time of year is March, followed by January, so if your looking for big fish, that’s your best route!

As stated previously, the weather on the day I went out was rough and we didn't catch anything but the Captain and crew were great. I would highly recommend Fish's and Captain Hector.

it's so worth the money if you want to get a fishing experience to go in as small a group as possible. you get so much more value for your time!!

Check the weather, it is sometimes rougher than it looks. You will still catch fish inshore though and it’s fun either way.

Don't do it. The captain is a scammer. Under prepared and terrible equipment is an under statement.

Be sure to take Dramamine so your trip isn't ruined by not feeling well. Wear sunscreen and sunglasses of course get a good night sleep and be prepared for a good fight with some big fish!

Like all fishing some luck is involved but May June July have a large amount of seaweed which can be annoying. Bring lots of sunscreen the sun can be brutal.

Make sure you check the weather for the day. We didn't do that and ended up in rough seas. This is not a ding on the crew. They were fantastic.

Know that fishing is hit and miss you don’t always catch what you are going for, but these guys out here will work their butts off to try to put you on some fish!

Take the morning trip and check ocean conditions before you head out. High quantities of seaweed made trolling difficult.

The weather is beautiful, but the seas can be choppy. Bring plenty of sunscreen and motion sickness preventatives.

Have strong arm muscles that's all you need (fish are bl...dy strong) rest is provided by the crew ?

The water is a little rough. If you are prone to get sea-sick, you will get sea-sick. That was the case with one of the people in our party. So plan accordingly.
